“BEYOND GUERRILLA MANAGEMENT” WORKSHOP
About the NEW Workshop
From 1998 to 2012, over 800 studio owners attended Ann Monteith’s Guerrilla Management Workshops, taught by Ann Monteith and Judy Grann. These intensive workshops were designed to achieve three objectives:
- To help photographers make more money
- To allow photographers to achieve more leisure time for themselves and their families
- To help photographers take control of the present and future direction of their businesses.
This transition, which substantially lowered the bar to entry into photography, has resulted in unprecedented levels of competition. Combined with the effects of a stubborn recession, these factors have dramatically altered photography business models. In response to this industry transformation, Judy and Ann have refocused the curriculum to deal with a competitive environment that stresses image quantity over quality and includes consumers who prefer to own digital files rather than products that create profit for photographers.
Workshop objectives are still the same, but to achieve them, Judy and Ann have redesigned the curriculum content and process to include more emphasis on pricing and selling and how to adjust business models to ensure profits to the business and satisfaction to clients. Workshops are limited to 15 studios to assure plenty of instructor-student interaction and strategy building opportunities. Students are guided through a hands-on process that allows each to accomplish a financial and marketing plan and strategies designed to put their business on a firm footing for the future.
Class days are long, so that you pack a good four days of hard work into three, which reduces the number of days you are away from your business and your home.
